About Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby Society

The Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby Society is a charity devoted to the care of the elderly. We are an autonomous organisation but affiliated to the Abbeyfield Society nationally and Abbeyfield Societies currently look after over 7000 elderly residents.

In our own society we have one residential home with 24 residents and an “excellent” rating from the Care Quality Commission. Our Care home, Lear house, is situated in West Kirby with magnificent views over the Dee estuary to Wales. The Society’s office is here also. We also have two sheltered houses, one in West Kirby and one in Hoylake accommodating a further 20 residents in pleasant house with delightful gardens.

We are currently progressing through a major rebuilding programme at our Care Home and next year will start to develop our services further.
